What others are saying...

We both loved the book. It was delightful, witty, at times hilarious, very real and heart-warming.

Carla and Charlie Herring, Canyon Lake, TX

"I'll Be There…" is a remarkable memoir in which the author describes how everyday events are influenced by mothers, fathers, grandparents, friends, and even pets. During heartbreaking tragedies, she describes how God gives us strength, helps us pick up the pieces, and even sends us "butterflies."
                                      Martha J. Fruge, Kinder, LA

I love her style! It’s delightful reading - humorous, yet touching. It brought back so many memories of growing up in the 50s.
Julie McCollum, Watercolor Artist, Canyon Lake, TX

Sometimes a story comes along that ignites our own memories we thought were long forgotten. Cynthia Eckhart's  “I'll Be There…"  does just that and then some. Her intimate recollections remind us that when all is said and done, the love of family and friends sculpts us into who we are today. "
                         Jerry Schultz, Lake Mills, WI

              About Me

I'm an eighth generation Texan who grew up in San Antonio and the Hill Country. After working many years in banking, I went back to school and earned my teaching certificate. Twenty-two years later, I decided to retire and enjoy beach living on North Padre Island, just outside Corpus Christi. I like to fish, even though I never catch anything! My favorite past time is watching people and birds while sitting in my beach chair along the shore. My best friend Debbie and I are currently collaborating on a series of children's books based on our many misadventures.
