HILL COUNTRY STRONG

I may have been from the city, but my roots belong to the Texas Hill Country. From Bandera to Kerrville, my relatives and family are scattered. I lived in Center Point and worked in Kerrville. I am devastated by the total destruction. It is like a tsunami or maybe a Cat 4 hurricane that formed and stayed right there.

Everybody there either knows or knows of someone directly affected by this tragic event. No blame here – if you have ever lived along the Guadalupe River, you know it is unpredictable and at times dangerous. But it is also a beautiful part of Texas.

I am asking all my fans, visitors, and people they know to please PRAY. Pray for the kids at camp, the many people in town camping out and waiting for Robert Earl Keen’s annual 4th of July concert and fireworks – a huge event that draws people from all over. Pray that those searching that they can push thru the horrors they are seeing. Just. Pray.
