Cynthia Eckhart
AUTHOR
A 7th-generation Texan and natural storyteller, Cynthia Eckhart grew up surrounded by tales of resilience, humor, and history passed down through generations. Though she didn’t begin writing seriously until retirement, her love for words and stories was shaped early on by family traditions and her life in San Antonio.
Cynthia earned her B.A. in Elementary Education and later a Master’s in Elementary Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She spent over 20 years as a beloved educator, weaving humor and curiosity into her classroom.
Post-retirement, inspired by the salt air of North Padre Island and the loss of her best friend’s grandchild, Cynthia penned I’ll Be There—a heartfelt tribute to lifelong friendship and shared faith. She’s also known for her light-hearted poetry and short stories, including Morning in Paradise and Grandma’s Spoons.
Cynthia is currently developing a children’s book series based on her and Deb’s real-life adventures, written under the playful names Pickles and Prudence, to share laughter and love with a new generation.
